That's pretty owned.

This is happening more and more now as the commercial shipping lanes in the Gulf of Aden off the Kenyan and Somalian coast is being used to freight goods (or arms) to African nations or heading to The Gulf.

Mogadishu is the main area were most of the hijackings are happening, the pirates see themselves as a renegade Navy or Coastal guard claiming that boats are illegally fishing or dumping in their waters.

Largest hijacking happened late last year, it was a Saudi oil Supertanker carrying around US$100,000,000 of oil. Age article can be found here.

Here is also a quiet funny story from last year how some Somalian pirates seized a ship full of arms, then held an interview - interesting.
