What sells is it is his performance, great entertainment value. His 'tricks' are all very subtle and very well done.
He uses a fake shuffle; Look at the cards when he first lays them out on the table, it's the entire sequence and the bottom cards, when shown, is his straight flush.
When he gets the audience to cut, he places the cards so they have a ridge where he wants them to be cut.
Watch his riffle shuffle, he never combines the two stacks back into a singular deck.
