Crucial SSDs

If anyone has bought one there is a firmware update to correct the 5148 hour bug.

http://www.crucial.com/support/firmware.aspx

More Info: Essentially there is a bug in some versions of the firmware that causes the drive to stop working after 5148 hours uptime (~215 days). This update apparently addresses the issue in some way.

It's apparently not continual =P.

Hence my slight amazement at both the issue and the update...

If (currentTotalUptime >= 5148)
{
killDrive(1);
}
else
{
killDrive(0);
}

Phew where would we be without a person that keeps their windows going for 216 days to find out these things!
