Re: Poor Joseph. God was a hard act to follow
I'm pretty sure there's biblical references to Jesus having siblings (of the unambiguously Mary-Joseph sort, not the "oh no mum, I swear we haven't had sex yet, it must be a miracle" sort). In fact, I'll go find some... Matthew 13:55 * "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary?...

And here I was thinking it was a subtle /b/ reference. :p

Re: Is Windows vista a Virus
Whilst I agree Windows 7 is good, I sometimes feel like I'm the only person who actually liked Vista. Of course I waited for the service pack and still had an issue with the MBR going where it wasn't meant to (onto my old, dying drive), but generally I found it stable and an improvement on XP, once ...

But given they might be contributing to people disconnecting, it's probably an even more important thing to consider now.

Re: New members forums access
He is in the guild, so social access is generally granted in those instances. Although I don't know how we really feel about having palm trees in the guild and I wonder why Tak has tried to hide his true nature.

Autotune and current affairs, together at last
Auto-tune the News, for those that haven't seen it, takes politicians and news anchors, tweaks their voices with auto-tune and sets it to music with surprisingly funny results. It may help if you have some idea of american current affairs, but it's probably not necessary. http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Well, Machine Girl has a drill bra and a gatling gun arm attachment... the insanity just kind of makes sense after a while I guess.

Re: Do any of you own any of these cars?
I'd suggest a Mini over a BMW 1 series. Similar(ish) price point, but the Mini is 'way' more fun to drive. I didn't enjoy the Polo I've driven, but I don't think it was a GTI, so maybe it's a totally different experience. The downside of BMW/Mini's is the maintenance is painfully expensive (if infre...

Re: CNN.com and bad article titles
I'm not entirely certain that sort of thing is accidental or unintentional. I've seen a number of articles where the main header gives a very different idea to the article, but is not 'technically' inaccurate. Often the title matches a little closer to the ideological slant of the publication.

Re: VOLTS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!!!
Just because our system is less flawed than another system doesn't make it good and doesn't make the other system the only possible alternative. I don't expect cops to expose themselves or others to undue danger, but 28 times is ridiculous under any conditions. My understanding is that more than a c...
